Concordia Elects New Board Members

Concordia Lutheran Ministries President and CEO Keith E. Frndak announced the election of five parent board of director members at the organization’s annual meeting on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023 on the Concordia at Cabot campus.

Sixteen board members comprise Concordia’s governing body and represent 27 member churches – all part of the LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod). Installed by Rev. Jack Hartman, Director of Chaplaincy Services at Concordia, the newly elected members follow. Each will serve a 3-year term.

Rev. Ronald Breight – Christ Lutheran Church, Forest Hills, Pa. Rev. Breight is a pastor at Christ Lutheran Church.

Rande Casaday – Peace Lutheran Church, McMurray, Pa. Casaday is the first vice president of investments at Stifel Financial.

Cindy Cwynar – Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Beaver Falls, Pa. Cwynar is a benefits analyst at Paragon Systems.

Fred Heintz Jr. – Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Glenshaw, Pa. Prior to his retirement, Heintz worked in several legal offices, most recently working as a staff attorney for Neighborhood Legal Services.

Gail Holzer – Redeemer Lutheran Church, Oakmont, Pa. Holzer is the executive director and administrator at Redeemer Lutheran School.

Three outgoing board members were presented with thank-you plaques for their service: Charlie Buttgereit, Sherrie Purucker and Nell Wilson. Fifty-five delegates represented a total of 22 churches at the annual meeting.
